【学会報告】リサーチクラークシップの学生が地方会で受賞

　このたび、新宿で開催された日本肺癌学会関東地方会に参加してまいりました。

今回は、嬉しいご報告があります。本学（横浜市立大学医学部）の学生が発表を行い、優秀演題賞を受賞しました。

　本学生は、今年4月からリサーチクラークシップの一環として当教室で研究に取り組んできました。発表はROS1陽性肺癌の2症例に関する報告で、とりわけ新規治療薬に関する内容については、私たちの知る限り日本で初めての報告となりました。臨床の現場で得られた貴重な知見を、丁寧にまとめ上げ、堂々と発表する姿はとても頼もしいものでした。その努力と成果が優秀演題賞という形で評価されたことを、教室一同、大変嬉しく思います。

　ご指導くださった先生方に、心より御礼申し上げます。日々の診療でお忙しいなか、学生の研究に丁寧に向き合い、発表まで導いてくださったことに深く感謝いたします。

そして何より、この経験が学生本人にとって、これからの道を考えるうえで実りある一歩となってくれたなら、これほど嬉しいことはありません。今後のさらなる活躍を楽しみにしています。

Our Student Wins the Best Presentation Award at the Regional JLCS Meeting

We recently attended the Regional Meeting of the Japan Lung Cancer Society.

We are delighted to share some happy news: a student from our medical school (Yokohama City University School of Medicine) gave a presentation at the meeting and received the Best Presentation Award.

Since April, the student has been carrying out research in our department as part of a research clerkship. The presentation reported on two cases of ROS1-positive lung cancer, and in particular, the findings on a novel therapeutic agent represented the world's first report. It was truly encouraging to watch the student carefully compile valuable insights drawn from the clinic and deliver them with such confidence. The whole department is thrilled that this effort and achievement were recognized with the Best Presentation Award.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the supervising physicians. We are deeply grateful for the care they devoted to the student's research amid their busy clinical schedules, and for guiding it all the way to presentation.

Above all, we sincerely hope this experience has been a meaningful step for the student as they think about the path ahead. We look forward to seeing all that they go on to accomplish.
